Welcome!
I am Associate Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. I previously held positions at Swansea University (2015-2016) and at the University of Sheffield (2012-2015). I received my PhD from the University of Exeter in 2013.
My research interests include political campaigning, electoral behaviour, party politics, and representation. I am a comparative politics scholar by nature, but I do have particular interest in Britain and Estonia.
My current research agenda focuses on the campaign strategies of parliamentary candidates and how these influence voters' electoral behaviour, and questions of political representation. I am the Principal Investigator of the BBSRC funded "Using Citizen Science to Promote Transparency in British Election Campaigns" grant and run the OpenElections project with Prof Caitlin Milazzo and Dr Alan Duggan. I also conduct the Estonian Candidate Study and the Welsh Candidate Study.
